Who Is
Alpine Auto?

Alpine Auto Service was founded by Lou Calka in 1980.   After working for Maserati Automobiles until 1980, Lou decided to strike out on his own and open his own shop. Soon after, Steve Walsh joined him as a full time technician and is still with Alpine Auto Service today. Lou and Steve are both ASE certified Master Technicians with

L1 Advanced certification.

In 1990, Lou earned the Arrow Automotive

Industries Achievement Award for a perfect

score on the ASE Electrical Test.  Lou has also

earned Motor Magazine's award for being the

highest scoring Master Technician in the country

in the aftermarket repair category.

Over the years, technicians Mark Chisolm and

Mickey Baker joined Alpine, both of whom

hold ASE certifications. To ensure customer

service equal to Alpine's outstanding technical

ability, service advisor Tony Carnaggio is the latest addition to the staff.

From 1993 to 2004 Lou wrote technical articles for

Brake & Front End , an automotive industry trade magazine for automobile technicians and shop owners. Based on his writing, he was invited by ASE to join their panel of industry experts who determine the criteria for ASE certification and write the questions used in the certification tests.

Throughout the years, the staff at Alpine Auto Service has exceeded the expectations of our customers.  We are large enough to acquire the equipment and information needed to repair today's complex vehicles, yet small enough to know you, our customer, personally. Alpine Auto Service gives back to the community by supporting various local charities. Some of our customers have been with us since we first opened the doors in 1980. We hope you'll give us a try. We think you'll like us.
